Les chaussettes Biscuit se tricotent de la cheville à la pointe. On commence par le bord côtes après lequel on fait quelques augmentations avant de commencer le jacquard traditionnel norvégien. On tricote toute la cheville, on met des mailles en attente sur un fil auxiliaire pour tricoter le talon plus tard, on tricote ensuite le pied. La pointe est formée avec un jeu de diminutions, et le bout de pied est fermé avec un grafting. On détricote délicatement les mailles en attente avant de façonner le talon avec des diminution et de le fermer avec un grafting.

Biscuit socks are worked cuff-down. You start with the ribbed cuff and then you work a set of increases before working a traditional Norwegian stranded pattern. When the leg is done, scrap yarn is used to prepare the afterthought heel, and you continue working the sole of your sock. Toe is shaped thanks to some decreases and closed using grafting. You then unravel the scrap yarn to pick up heel stitches, and shape it thanks to decreases. It’s also closed using grafting.

J’ai utilisé le bleu 192 avec le blanc 101 pour la première version et le moutarde 136 avec le pâte d’amande 977 pour la seconde.

Échantillon
34 mailles et 37,5 tours pour 10 cm au jacquard avec les aiguilles de 2,5 mm.

34 stitches and 37.5 rounds for 4” / 10 cm with US 1½ (2.5 mm) needles in stranded pattern.
