Barnabé se tricote en top-down, selon la méthode « contiguous » : cette méthode permet, grâce à un jeu d’augmentations, de tricoter tout l’empiècement (dos, devant et haut de manches) en une seule partie ! On travaille tout d’abord dos, devant et lignes d’épaules puis une fois la longueur d’épaules voulue atteinte, on commence à former les têtes de manche qu’on tricote en même temps que dos et devant. Une fois la hauteur d’emmanchure tricotée, on sépare corps et manches qu’on tricote jusqu’en bas.

Barnabé is worked top-down, using contiguous set-in-sleeve method: thanks to some increase sets, all upper body is knitted simultaneously (back, front and cap sleeves)! You first work back, front and shoulder lines, then, when given shoulder width is reached, you start cap sleeves at the same time as you continue back and front. Finally, when armhole depth is complete, you divide body from sleeves and they are worked separately to the bottom of the pullover.
